Hello!
Hope the work's not bogging you down; here's something to take your mind briefly off it:
RAFT RACE from Leamington to Warwick on the last day of term, and yes, we get to build the rafts ourselves!
COST: FIVE pounds
TIME: TBC, probably start building rafts late morning
Historically this has been a race between the two clubs' execs - this year numbers are slightly thin. If anyone else wants to join in, places are on a first-come first served basis (not many left).
There will be a bbq afterwards - you're welcome to come to the bbq even if not racing rafts - details to follow later. This email is specifically for rafters; please reply to president@polo.warwickcanoe.co.uk if wanting and able to do it.

The sports centre garage has been designated a "confined space", so only sports centre staff, security and estates department are allowed in.

The carefully thought through, finely tuned and revoulutionary plan for washing boats is now to tell the sports centre staff you're going in when you ask for the key.
i.e. "continue as before"
I hope this is clear and that no one is confused by the new procedure. If you require emotional support during this difficult transition period, advice can be found between advertisement and advisedly in any good dictionary.
There will be an Aquatic First Aid course running on 26th June (tuesday week 10) 9am-4pm.
9-2 is classroom environment, 2-4 in the pool practicing whats been learnt.
This was intended to be primarily for exec of all water-related sports, but many of canoe and canoe polo execs are unable to go.
If you are want to go, and can go (ie are not planning on going to surf trip), reply to
thanks

Please post here if you are replying to her, so people know.
Our Thursday sessions have been cancelled for 17th May and 7th June.
Right guys 'n gals, we need to sort out all those exciting sports fed details!!!!
If you would like to sit with us canoeing folk at sports fed, and we would like you all to, then here is a nice simple check list of how this works!
1) Buy Sports Fed Ticket (online or in advance)
2) Get paper copy of ticket (from advance)
3) Email back to pebble@warwickcanoe.co.uk with number on ticket, name and food preference (carnivour or veggie)
4) Get outfit ready and generally prepare for a night of fun froilics and carnage!
Now there is a deadline:
WEDNESDAY WEEK 5!
Its earlier than normal as each table submitted before then gets more wine then any table submitted after then, which makes u get your moneysworth a little more.  You can still buy tickets after this date but there are no guarantees who you could be sitting with!!!!
Your terrible trio (for one term only),
nicky, tom & tom
BBQ is cancelled. Sod's law is dictating that when we don't want rain, we get it, \and lots of it!
So, we're meeting in the graduate instead. 7.30pm.
See you there.
p.s Hats off to those who did the doggy paddle in this weather. Good work.
Not sure if the last email worked, so I'm just sending this to confirm the details...
Sunday, 7-10ish, BBQ site 1, bring own food/bbq/tipple/blankets/games/entertainment,
and dont be late as we can only cook til 9...
That is all
Love, Tom and Tom
