Feel like you don’t know what you’re doing in sessions? Want to know what the funny signals the ref makes mean? Want to stop asking so many questions? (me too)
Come to the Canoe Polo Rules talk! The main rules talk for the year will be happening on Tuesday at 19:00 in L4!
Featuring! Rules! Cards! Signals! Kahoots!
Come along to learn the rules, and you’ll learn more about the game at the same time too. This will be important in sessions as, from Tuesday, we will be reffing to the complete set of rules.
Returners, are of course also welcome too, as it will be a great refresher of the rules and obviously will include the updated 2019 ruleset.
Love, your friendly, neighbourhood coach, Lara
P.S. If you have any questions, or can’t make Tuesday, feel free to message me any time :)

We'll be leaving campus from the bus interchange around 19:00 as usual, look out for some exec members.
The cost for this social will be either £5 for cocktails or £3 for mocktails, there will be an open bar for the night so the cost is for the evening, not per drink.

Next weekend, 18th – 20th October (end of week 3), we will be heading to North Wales for two days of brilliant paddling, departing on Friday evening. Hi Everyone
I hope everyone’s having a good summer break,
As Coach I’m in the process of organising a WWSR (White Water Safety and Rescue) course that will run at some point in mid to late term 1. This trip will teach you all about rescuing and safety on the river so is perfect if you’re interested in the leadership side of things, or if you just fancy throw lining the exec when we swim. This is also a good course to make you feel more comfortable in moving water as you get to practice important skills such as defensive swimming and chase boating.
For more information on WWSR please visit:
https://www.britishcanoeing.org.uk/courses/white-water-safety-and-rescue-training
This will be a two-day trip during a weekend and is likely to cost around £80. This will depend on things like the transport available.
I want to see how many people are interested in attending, so that we know we have enough people to run the trip. If people could email or message me to say they’re interested that would be great. If you have any questions, feel free to email me too.
My Email: coach@warwickcanoe.co.uk
(Registering your interest does not guarantee you will be on the trip and doesn’t mean you have to go)
