WEEK 9-CIRCLE AND POP!

G’day everyone!

 

It is T-9 days till week 9 Pop! We will be circling in the Cooper Rooms on Wednesday 1st December before dancing off the purple to some of the finest 2000s music you have ever heard.

 

As it is on the first of December (😱😱) we have decided to start off your festivities with the theme of ‘Australian Christmas’ so get your best shit-shirts and bush hats out (even shorts if you are feeling brave) or even a Santa hat and try to embrace the summer and Christmas feeling all at once.

We don't need no education! Instead, we're going to dance the night away listening to classic pop and indie songs from our childhood 🤩

Wednesday 24th November- Pub before Paddle!🚣‍♀️

 

Happy Sunday everyone!

 

This coming week, alongside circling and Skool Days on Saturday, we have also decided to add a social for everyone to enjoy on Wednesday.

 

From 6:30pm, we will be in the Dirty Duck (the pub on campus) grabbing some food and drinks before the canoe pool session! So feel free to drop by and join us before we head over to the sports hub at 8!

Rainbow Laces!

🌈><> RAINBOW LACES !!!! <><🌈

The SU are currently selling some incredibly snazzy RAINBOW laces 🌈👟 as part of the uni-wide “Kicking LGBTQ+ Phobia Out of Sport” #ReshapingSport campaign!

The laces cost £1 and all proceeds go to Stonewall, a charity campaigning to promote equality and make sport more LGBTQ+ inclusive!

So whether you’re looking for a stylish footwear upgrade 👟 or a little something to upgrade your Pop! costume 🎉, all while being supportive of a great cause 🌈, get your orders in!!!

If you’re interested in a pair, like/react to the Facebook post in the Warwick Canoe and Canoe Polo group by Wednesday and we will be ordering some for the club ready for collection in upcoming pool sessions!

It would be great to see as many people as possible wearing them around campus!

Ho Ho Ho everyone! Hopefully, you will have begun doing some present shopping for the upcoming festive season (and not leaving it until Dec 24th...) so we thought it would be the perfect time to announce the Canoe and Polo secret Santa!

Here are the times for Canoe Polo this week:
 
Tuesday- 20:30-22:00
Friday- 21:00- 22:00
Sunday- 10:00-12:00 (please note that this has been changed from our normal Saturday session for this week only)
 
Anyone is welcome to attend all these sessions, regardless of ability!

There is a mistake on the Warwick Sport website, it's says tonight's session is canoe polo. This is wrong it is a canoe session as normal. If you are unable to book on let one of the exec know and we will let you through the barriers.

Week 7 Social - The Wave

Next weeks social is going to be ‘The Wave’. ‘What is the wave?’ I hear you ask…. Well it’s an indoor water park in Coventry and is a chance to experience some warm rapids (for once 😅)
Due to the centre’s opening hours this social will be on Saturday the 20th at 13:00.

Day Trip to River Dee

Afternoon paddlers,
We will be running a day trip to the River Dee on the 21st November. The cost of this is £16 per person. As it is a day trip it will be an early start and we will be returning to campus in the evening.
This is a perfect opportunity to work on your paddling skills on moving water.
