Week 7 Social - The Wave

Happy Friday everyone 🎉
Next weeks social is going to be ‘The Wave’. ‘What is the wave?’ I hear you ask…. Well it’s an indoor water park in Coventry and is a chance to experience some warm rapids (for once 😅)
Due to the centre’s opening hours this social will be on Saturday the 20th at 13:00.

Day Trip to River Dee

Afternoon paddlers,
We will be running a day trip to the River Dee on the 21st November. The cost of this is £16 per person. As it is a day trip it will be an early start and we will be returning to campus in the evening.
This is a perfect opportunity to work on your paddling skills on moving water.

Unfortunately, tonight's canoe polo session has been canceled (9th November). However, we will be back to normal for the rest of the week.

Week 6 Social: Laser Tag

Week 6: LASER QUEST SOCIAL 🔫

 

Happy Sunday everyone!!

 

This coming weeks social is in a different location as we will be heading to Coventry to play some laser tag! If you would like to attend click ‘going’ on the Facebook event and don’t forget to book your own ticket online here: https://www.laserquestcoventry.co.uk

The booking details will be as follows:

  • November 11th
  • 19:00
  • Student (3 games) for £8.95

 

Remember, to attend you must have booked your own ticket! And can either meet us there or join us and get the bus from the university interchange at around 6pm!

Due to the lack of members available for tomorrow's canoe polo pool session, we have been forced to cancel it. Apologies for this, but we are opening up tonight's pool session from 9-10, to anyone who wants to come instead.

**NOTICE ABOUT TONIGHT's POOL SESSION (01/11/21)**

It appears that Warwick Sport have confused the canoe and canoe polo pool sessions such that only those with polo membership are able to sign up to tonights session.
There is no requirement to have membership to both clubs, this is an error on the system and we're trying to get it fixed before tonights session.
If it isn't fixed, do still show up at the normal time and one of the exec will be on hand to let you through the gates!
 
(To get an idea of numbers, could you please comment below this post if you're planning on joining us tonight)

KIT AND COCKTAILS

Happy Monday everyone!
 
This weeks social on Thursday is ‘Kit and Cocktails’ this is where we will head to ‘Leam boat centre’ at 7pm to talk to some of the staff who are experts on all the kit you may possibly need during your years of paddling to come! The club also has an attractive 15% discount with them which you will be able to use!
Afterwards, we will head to Dan and Sarah’s house for some cocktails!
 
We have both alcoholic and non-alcoholic cocktails available. Including my personal favourite ‘Paddle on the Dee’….

Calling all women of Canoe and Canoe Polo: Whether you’re already on the team or want to play for fun, come along for an exciting session designed just for you!
 
**THIS IS A TASTER SESSION. You do not have to have a Canoe Polo membership to attend
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Please book as usual through the Warwick Sports Hub website and arrive promptly as it’s only a short session (9-10pm)

After the session, a group will be heading to T Bar

Week 3 Social - Circling and POP!

Hellloooo all!

It was so great seeing you all at the bar crawl! We hope you had a good time.

Finally, the canoe and canoe polo club will be heading to the copper rooms to go circling and dance the night away to some classic club tunes. You'll need to be sat down at our tables and ready by 7:30 pm, you don't want to be late...

Tickets for circling have all sold out, however, there are some spare tickets that members of the club bought. If you need a ticket please message me or Adi. Feel free to join us just for pop too!

Spaces in the circle are limited to 30 so please put going on the event if you can make it: https://fb.me/e/4CbQIh7PK and also let us know if you plan on bringing a +1

The theme will be *drumroll*... the ABCs!! You need to come dressed as something that starts with the same letter of your name e.g. Dan the Dinosaur
