CHARITY CHALLENGE UPDATE AND DINNERTIME DESTRESS

It's the last week of term 2 woooooo 🎉🎉

 

Charity Challenge Update

 

A massive THANK YOU to everyone who donated to our ‘Do we dare?’ exec charity challenge. In total we managed to raise over £340! This has lead to:

  • 32 pints of milk being drunk
  • 5 squirty cream paper plates to the face
  • A whole lot of chubby bunny’s
  • Tescos running out of brussel sprouts (thanks to Laura)
  • Rowan’s dog getting the recognition he deserves
  • And the exec just generally doing something a bit wild for charity

 

Owen donated the most and therefore will be receiving a home-made cake of choice from Sam.

And as ‘The Peterson Household’ donated the second greatest amount, they will have free reign over Joe’s meals for the weekend.

 

I hope you all enjoyed watching us laugh/suffer as much as we have!

 

Dinnertime Destress

Now, if you want to see a summary of all the best challenges from this weeks charity projects, then this destress is the one for you! Tonight at 7pm we will be celebrating :/ a year since the first lockdown/social distancing was announced by looking at some of the highlights/ funny moments that have occurred across the globe this year! This will also include Chris dying his hair live for your entertainment.

DINNERTIME DESTRESS
 
Happy Friday everyone!!!! 🎉🎉
 
The 16th of March marks the first anniversary of lockdown/social distancing beginning. Therefore, to celebrate :/ this momentous occasion I thought that at next week’s destress we would look at some of the funny moments that have occurred across the globe this year. This will include some of the highlights from our charity challenge!!!!
 
 
If the £250 target is reached, Chris will also be dying his hair live for your entertainment (if that is not even more of a reason to donate (https://tinyurl.com/canoechallenges ) then who knows what is!

Evening all,
 
It's that time of term already, deadlines are approaching⏳ (sorry if that was an unhelpful reminder😤), and stress levels are rising. That's why its good to take some time off work💻 to relax and think about literally anything else!
Tomorrow at 7:00 we will be watching some classic Bob Ross🎨 Joy of painting videos to help us relax. Feel free to do paint/draw along or just hang around with a warm drink and a comfy blanket, as long as whatever you bring isn't work!

This week we shall be playing some more Garticphone again. For those of you who haven't played before, a good description of it would be "a cross between skribbl🎨 and Chinese whispers🤫". It should provide some good entertainment for all. It will be hosted on the club Teams channel and at 7:00 on Thursday as always.

Charity Event

Have you always wanted to make someone drink two pints of red milk or do you ever wondered what Chris would look like with frosted tips then I have the charity event for you. Warwick Canoe and Canoe polo are running the BEST charity event around and raising money for Valley House.
 
 
How the charity event works: You buy mini challenges and pick an exec member to do them, this money is then added to the cumulative totals which as it reaches certain targets different exec members will do chosen activities.
 
Donate via just giving and message an exec or comment on the just giving page to say what you are buying and for who.
 
 
The poster containing the pricing details is attached.
 
The chosen exec member will provide picture or video evidence to whoever buys the task.
 
The end date for donations is Saturday the 13th of March.
 
*Please note that the just giving page already has £100 from previous events and this is not counted as part of the cumulative total for this event.
