Hi guys,
Just to make your lives more complicated, paddlesport are holding a demo day this sunday, so if you're not sure what boat you want to buy, or just want to check out some cool stuff, this is for you. I've been told these demodays are great fun, with a bbq and guaranteed sunny weather.
If you want to come along, please post on the website, and whether or not you have a vehicle you can trasport others in. Will proabably be meeting around 11 on campus, but more on that later. If you haven't already worked it out, this is on the same day as doggy paddle, so you have to choose between 1 or the other I'm afraid.
Over and out.

Hello!
Right folks, Sunday of week 3 (11th of May), is the Doggy Paddle, this is a sponsored paddle from Leamington to Warwick Castle, it happens every year and is to raise money for 'Guide dogs for the Blind', its' 19 miles of easy paddling so no one should have any problems. We need to be on the water quite early so will be leaving campus around 8.30 shock horror!( those who live in Leam can come meet us at the get in.)I've been told its' wicked-cool fun and a great break from scary exam revision. Sign up has gone up on the website, so go forth and sign up for the chance to spend a day drifting lazily down stream in the sunshine, with the added bonus of doing something for charity! It costs £7 pounds to enter, and what ever you can raise in sponsorship. This doesn't include transport, so we'll get back to you how much that will cost, won't be much and the more the cheaper! As its' the doggy paddle fancy dress would definitely be appropriate, so all in all it'll be a right laugh,.

Right a few of you might have heard about the feasco with the lilac hoodies, well it's been 7wks and Run and Jump havnt chased me up about returning them, and im fed up with them cluttering up my room, so i think its fair for me to distribute them to the lucky owners. Wow two purple hoodies for the price of one I hear you cry, yes thats right! I bet the rest of you are all wishing they went purple!
Ok so,
Xain, Katherine, Nigel, and Rachel, you are the lucky owners of a lovely lilac hoodie whooo!
I have them at my house in leamington, you can claim it from here if you want, or i can bring them to a canoe/canoe polo session.
If for some reason you dont want a lilac hoodie, then let me know as scavingers who didnt buy hoodies have expressed interest in them. And will gladly wear them. P.s the hoodies are the same shade as this news post... great!
Ok Lords, Ladies and Gentilmen, the plan is as follows;
Where: Cholo, When: Wed wk 3, 1900hrs (happy hr 7-8pm), Who: Everyone, tis going to be side splittingly good. Fancy Dress is STAR WARS themed, so get your lightsabres polished and your Princess Laya bikinis dry cleaned. You've got a whole week so there are no excuses for lack of fancy dress. If you can think of nothing else stick hair to your face and roar in a distant manner. We also need volunteers to be auctioned. Don't be shy, it's for charity!
happy costume making.

As exams draw ever nearer I find myself in constant need of distractions, and the latest one to arrive will be in the form of a 'friendly' polo tournament next week (Tuesday 6th May). The teams will be drawn from people within the club so its just warwick verses warwick for the ultimate in bragging rights! If you want to be involved in the tourament, can you post on the forum BEFORE next week, so that we can have the teams and playlist sorted prior to tuesday - these teams will be mixed before anyone starts quaking in fear about taking on a full A team. If you do not post saying that you will definately be there then you will be given lowest prority for games.

Right Guys,
I think we have all just about recovered from our last tour, so time to start planning the next, whooo! We are going to the scenic Ardeche region in France for a week of Sun, BBQs, and of course a spot of paddling. This trip will probably be more a holiday than hardcore river running trip, though we will still get in lots of rivers! Anyone can come, the rivers we will be running will be grade 2/3, 3 with maybe a few 3/4 thrown in. We will try our hand at some multi-day expeditions and other exciting things.
At the moment a rough estimation for the trip will be about £150 pounds, food and drink will be pretty cheap out there and we will be camping, so this leaves a lot more of your student pennies for drinking!
We are planning on running this trip in around the 2nd week of the holiday, possibly leaving on the 6th of July and getting back on the 14th. Though it has been pointed out that some graduations will be happening then, so we will do our best to sort this out. If you want to come or are interested please email me at madison.mcdonald 'at' warwick.ac.uk and please let me know if you have a pesky graduation ceremony which clashes!
There will be limited spaces on this trip and there will be a sign up coming soon to a website near you (www.warwickcanoe.co.uk)
See you soon and good luck with all your exams!
