As our email system appears to have momentarily died i thought this was the best way of telling everyone about ice skating this Saturday!!!

We are going to be meeting in the bar at 6:45pm to go ICE SKATING at the coventry skydome.

Their session last from 8pm til 10pm and costs £5.80 with free skate hire (unless we get less than 15 people, so bring all your firends and people you live with, everyone is welcome)

Happy New Year - What's in Store...

Hey All!

Happy New Year and all that jazz. Good to be back at Uni?? This is a bit of a round up of the term ahead and what we've got planned for all of you, so tolerate me and give it a read. Anyone who's never been along and come to meet us - make 2006 the year, it's never to late in the year to get involved and it'd be great to see you.

MONDAYS - in the campus pool, same as always 8.30pm till 9.30, not this week tho cos the pools shut for christmas still! Then onto the bar for a couple of pints.

THURSDAYS - Coaching with Scarf - 3pm till 4pm in the pool, keep an eye on the emails to find out whats on that week, we vary it from playboating open workshops to newbie skills. It's all skill based so a great time to actually learn something.

WEEKEND TRIPS - We promised you lots - so... diaries at the ready??

Wk 2 - 4* Assessment - River Leaders (spk to Scarf if you think this is you!)

Wk 3 - South Wales Trip (Usk and Twyi) - Everyone welcome - sign up and more details to follow, will be suitable for all (grade 2 with a few grade 3 stretches), and will be a chance to do your 2*assement if you wanted.

Wk 5 - Dart Trip - Limited Space

Wk 7 - North Wales - Again everyone welcome - we'll be spliting for the rivers on this one - a hardcore and baby river option.

Wk 9 - Our first Surf trip of the year (Yay) to wolocombe Devon. Destined to be a bit of an end of term party trip, anyone that has never kayak surfed before - they'll be plenty of people around to give you a hand.

Right. Anyone who's never gone on a trip we run them on a subsidised basis (normally ~£20 - bargainous), and have all the kit you need. Anyone worried about their suitablity just have a chat to one of the exec whenever you can grab us.

Other excitment on the cards includes whatever carnage our social secs can whip up - culminating with our elections just before easter, Possiblity of Student Rodeo competions (Wk10), 3* Assessments, talk of a environmental/charity/awarness project (any volunteers to coordinate? Let me know) Some new boats, Polo as usual, Hoodie Orders and a Scotland Trip at Easter with the BCU Student Course.

Hope you didn't have anything else planned!

As usual just give me a ring with any problems, See you soon!

Angie

Website Login

I have changed the login system over to use your Warwick Sport details. Login just as before but use the password you use on the Warwick Sport site (probably the same). Unfortunately avatars don't work on the WS site, but I'm looking into alternatives.

Old Gits: Your sunion login will no longer work. Let me know if you want access and I will give you a new login (webmonkey@warwickcanoe.co.uk).

Happy Xmas and all that..

'Tis the season to be jolly (hungry)

Hello again. To confirm:

Christmas meal is all sorted. Those who are coming, we are meeting tomorrow (Wednesday) at 18:00 in The Bar after which we'll catch a bus to Hearsall Common, then walk to the Farmhouse for 19:00 where we'll eat lots. If you asked for a steak, they'll want to know how you want it done when you get there. If you haven't told me your menu choices then tell them when we get there as well.

We're going smart on this one, oh yes, that's right, I'm going to wear smart clothes. I think the odd person might wear a tux, but I don't have one, so there's no need to be that smart! I was thinking shirt, tie, trousers, shoes kind of smart if anyone was still confused. And for the ladies, I don't know, I'm sure you'll work it out.

The pool cover has been FIXED!

I have just been told by the sports centre staff that the pool cover has been successfully removed and we will be able to use the pool on Sunday!

They have also assured me that the cover will be staying off the pool form now until Sunday, so even if it breaks again it wont affect us.
