Haha, 'Sticky Varsity pound night social'. Hopefully it won't be sticky in Varsity.

The plan for Friday's video night at Barry/Shelly's place is to meet at the City arms in order to leave by 8 at the latest! There will then be cars to shuttle you the rest of the way from the pub to the house. The idea for the night is just to watch some kayaking vids with a drink in the hand for a chilled out night - so make sure to bring a few bevvies with you to last you through the night!
For those of you on campus who are getting the bus over, you will need to be at the bus stop by 7.30! because the buses won't wait for anyone!! Mike Brown (the long haired rocker as he has been known in the past - attractive photo can be found here,
http://www.sunion.warwick.ac.uk/socs/su111/photos/61/Surf%20Trip%20Jan05%20025.63132.jpg
try not to let it scare u!) will be getting that bus, so if you're not quite sure where u need to be getting off (though most of you should have some idea by now) then just follow him!
At the end of the night (whenever that might be) there will be floor space for anyone who wants it, so bring a sleeping bag. The drivers who got you to the house will not be likely in a state to drive you back, so if you want to go back home later on that night, alternate arrangements will need to be made. Taxis shouldn't cost too much (similar to getting one from earls) and there may be some cars going back that way, but I can't guarantee it.

Hi everyone
I have decided that now is the best time to tell everybody about the next club social - or in other words, I'm very bored with a project and am looking for anythig to do to take my mind off it!
So....due to a request by G we will be having a social on Wednesday 26th in The Bar. We will be having some drinking games and generally enjoying ourselves, hopefully!
If everyone gets to The Bar for 8 we will be able to get started relatively early.
Hope to see you all there - Im sure I'll be able to drag myself away from the thrilling program that is CES Materials Selector. (Im guessing that as the club is made up of so many engineers, that most people will know how exciting this project is...)
Cheers

"Where Am I" whoever you are, it is not politicaly correct to say that Rowena is gay. It is none of our business which "sexual orientation" she chooses to be and therefore you have no right to mock her for it. This is a breach of the clubs "Equal opportunities" policy.
If we could find out who you are, I would bring you in front of the exec to explain your comment, however Webbo assures me that we can't so you're lucky. If you are caught doing it again disciplinary action will be taken.

Wow it seems people actually read this notice board. I guess I ought to start putting useful information here. Here are the final details for pub golf:
Hi everyone
I have been carefully considering this weekends social, and have decided that although I understand it may be easier for some people if it was held in Leam, it will still be held in EARLSDON. This has been decided for various reasons, including the fact that I couldnt think of a route avoiding 'posh' bars in Leam, and it will be easier to have a widely known starting point.
So the social will start at 7:30 in The Bar on campus, and after a little while will progress to Earlsdon under the careful and professional instructions of Graham. Thanks G for saying that you will lead the social this weekend, and thanks FatBoy for using your vast knowledge of pubs to create a drinking route!
Ok - just a few details:
*Scorecards will be provided.
*Pen/Pencil will be needed so take one along.
*Dress code is 'p' - so dress as something beginning with the letter 'p'.
*Both an alcohol and a non-alcohol version of pub golf will be played if you dont want to participate with alcohol. However, the alcohol one has been tried and tested and the non-alcohol one hasnt, so I am unsure how 'playable' it will be. Sorry!
So.....meet at the Bar at 7.30 dressed as anything related to the letter 'p' and be prepared to take part in a round of Pub Golf led by Graham. Remember to bring a pen and enough money for the drinks and bus to EARLSDON.
Hope that lots of people turn out, as Pub Golf is always a comical social event. I will see you all on Monday when I hope to hear all about it, and I will be thinking of you all while I am celebrating a friends Birthday in Sheffield.
Have fun
Cheers
Sorry for the length of the email. Ive obviously got too much to say.....

from the email:
Secondly - Pub golf - it has been decided that the Pub Golf will take place in Earlsdon. It will also be themed, so everone has got to get planning this week on what to wear! The theme is simply the letter 'p' so you have to go dressed as anything that starts with 'p'. eg, policeman, pimp, paddler, etc etc. Hopefully this should mean that everyone can put a little thought into what they wear!
further details will go out with times and details about the golf soon, but im just trying to finalise things (as always, sorry...)
also...
Hi everyone
Just a quick reminder that the dress code for the weekends pub golf social is the letter 'p'. If you cant think of anything here are a few suggestions:
paddler
pink (eg wear all pink)
pimp
policeman/woman
pervert
physicist
poltergeist
Hopefully everyone is thinking of ways to dress to impress. Remember that the best dressed person (most amusing outfit) will have ultimate respect from all other club members forever for their efforts!
See you soon
Alex

I may have accidentally associated the phrases 'gay' and 'not working properly'. No association was meant, honest.

Where's the social on Saturday?
My e-mail is being gay, oooh whoops, I mean my e-mail's not working properly canoe wise, unless the e-mail senders hate me. Can someone stick the e-mail up here so I can read it please.
