Session Booking Guidance

Term 1 2020

As everyone knows by now, this term our sessions are going to be running a bit differently. For every club session you attend, you will have had to book your place in advance.
To help make the process as smooth as possible, we've put together a guide of how to book your place on our different sessions.
As always, keep an eye on our Facebook page and website for latest updates, and we look forward to paddling with you soon!

Please note that there will be a new sign up process for each session each week, and the first 4 weeks will be taster sessions.

Pool sessions:

Canoe Polo: Pool sessions are on Saturdays 17:30-18:50 in the campus swimming pool

Canoe: Pool sessions are on Saturdays 16:00-17:00 in the campus swimming pool

  1. Fill in the google form for the appropriate session. A new form will be posted weekly, and the deadline for doing this is 5pm on Thursday before the session.
    • Places will be given on a first-come, first-serve basis.
    • New members will be given priority for the first 4 weeks.
    • If the session you have signed up for is full, you will be given priority for the following session
  2. By the Friday before the session, you will receive email confirmation that you have a place in the session. In this email you will be asked to sign up on the Warwick Sport website.
    • This is essential. If you have not signed up on the Warwick Sport website, you will not be able to attend the session.
    • If you do not receive an email from us, and think you should have, please contact an exec member who will be happy to help.
  3. If you can no longer attend a session, please contact an exec member ASAP, so that we can allocate your space to another member.

Canoe Polo Ball Throwing:
Ball throwing sessions for are on Wednesdays 08:00-08:50 in Westwood Games Hall

  1. Sign up to the session via the Warwick Sport website directly. We will post the link weekly.
  2. If you can no longer attend a session you have signed up for, please cancel your booking, again via the Warwick Sport website. This frees your space for another member to use.

On the day:

  • Please arrive at your dedicated time slot. This will have been given to you in your confirmation email. It is essential that you stick to these times so that we can facilitate social distancing.
  • We will have an NHS Track and Trace QR code to check into the session.
  • We are asking everyone to bring their own hand sanitiser and to use it before and after handling our equipment.
  • We will also have sanitisation stations set up around the pool for cleaning of kit.

As always, if you have any questions, do not hesitate to get in contact with any of our exec members, who will be happy to help.

Happy paddling!!

New Website!

Posted 4y 7mth ago by Rowan
Today we bid a fond farewell… to the old website

It had a good run from 2005, however, some of the elements were just beginning to show their age, so we set on a major task of a full re-write from the ground up.
After 25 thousand lines of code, 542 commits and 4 months of work, we are finally ready to release the new website for you all to see.
With a fresh new look, mobile optimisation (oh yes) and a promise of being at least 50% less broken than the old website, we hope you’ll really like the new changes.

Unfortunately, accounts are not transferred, so you’ll need to make a new one, but it should be a lot easier this time! However, forum posts have been transferred (so yes, Revision-Away lives on).

Also a big thank you to everyone who helped us test and stuff, and no thanks at all to Apple

YOGA UPDATE

We will be taking a short break from our yoga sessions until the new term begins.

However, we still encourage everyone to take some regular time out for yourself over the next few weeks. The beginning of a new term can be overwhelming - this year more than many.

Hopefully those on the peer-paddling surf trip are enjoying themselves! Looking forward to seeing you all back on campus soon.

Yoga love,

Claudia

Seems like a bit of a stretch.*Ba dum tss*
